Culture can Make it - KRK

The project “Culture can Make it! Connecting the dots towards a more inclusive sector for young people”, implemented by the National Youth Congress in partnership with Taranto Makers and funded by European Union, announces a call for applications for a sub-grant scheme supporting innovative initiatives in the cultural and creative industries.

This call invites cultural actors to propose projects that promote creativity, innovation, and collaboration, while contributing to the development of sustainable cultural and creative ecosystems. The scheme aims to strengthen the capacities of cultural stakeholders, foster entrepreneurship, and support initiatives that generate employment opportunities, particularly for young artists.

Proposals should focus on developing innovative cultural initiatives, artistic productions, and creative services that demonstrate strong community impact, collaboration among stakeholders, and sustainable approaches within the cultural sector.

Applicants are encouraged not only to design high-quality creative projects but also to contribute to broader sector development by introducing new ideas, strengthening partnerships, and engaging audiences in meaningful cultural experiences.

The sub-grant scheme is designed to empower and support a diverse group of actors working in the cultural and creative industries.

This call is addressed to:

  1. Young artists (aged 18–29), creators, and cultural practitioners seeking to develop and implement innovative artistic projects and creative initiatives;
  2. Cultural and creative organizations, including non-profit organizations, associations, and artist collectives active in the field of arts and culture;
  3. Civil society organizations (CSOs) and non-formal groups working in the cultural and creative sectors, particularly those promoting collaboration, innovation, and community engagement;
  4. Cultural micro-enterprises and creative businesses aiming to strengthen their sustainability and introduce new cultural products or services.

Priority will be given to proposals that:

  • Foster collaboration between different stakeholders (artists, organisations, businesses, communities);
  • Introduce innovative approaches, formats, or technologies in the cultural sector;
  • Contribute to job creation and economic sustainability;
  • Support emerging and young artists.

Selected projects will receive financial support and will benefit from additional capacity-building opportunities, including trainings and mentorship sessions aimed at strengthening project quality, entrepreneurial skills, and long-term impact.

The duration of supported projects is expected to be 3 to 4 months.
