Mediterranean Capitals of Culture & Dialogue 2028

The “Mediterranean Capitals of Culture & Dialogue” (MCCD) initiative was launched in 2023. The initiative consists of two cities representing different shores of the Mediterranean, designated by the 43 Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean for one calendar year. The two cities will implement cultural, socio-economic, and sporting programmes to highlight their heritage and cultural policies, respective Mediterranean identities, and shared Euro-Mediterranean vision.
