Applications Now Open for Opportunity & Innovation Grants under the Common Ground Program
The European Fund for the Balkans (EFB) has opened a new call for applications under the Common Ground Program (CGP), inviting civil society organizations, grassroots initiatives, and informal groups across the Western Balkans to apply for Opportunity & Innovation Grants. Designed to encourage innovative ideas and timely responses to emerging opportunities, the grants support initiatives that foster dialogue, strengthen social cohesion, and bridge divides within local communities.
By providing flexible, small-scale funding, the programme aims to help organizations test new approaches, pilot promising ideas, and lay the groundwork for larger, long-term initiatives. The call is open to organizations registered in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia, as well as informal groups applying in partnership with a registered organization or fiscal host. Twenty grants of up to €4,500 will be awarded in 2026. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all available grants have been awarded. Supported activities must be completed by 1 November 2026.
