Join us for exciting, thought-provoking workshops where first-year students of English Language and Literature explore diverse issues related to Literary and Cultural Criticism.
This week students will explore how gender representation and equality are reflected in cultural production, encouraging participants to critically examine media narratives, visibility, and the role of women in film, literature, and popular culture.
The second activity will focus on the impact of societal beauty expectations and media portrayals on identity, self-worth, and gender expression, opening discussions about appearance-based pressure, objectification, and the importance of confidence, critical thinking, and self-acceptance.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 12.30 at the American Corner Tuzla.
