Open Call: Join Our Focus Group Discussions on Transport & Care
CRPM invites women and men who are the caregivers (of family members, elder people, children, people with disabilities, and similar) from diverse backgrounds, to participate in focus group discussions exploring how transportation, gender equality, and sustainability are interconnected. Why This Matters:
Limited access to affordable and efficient transport impacts women the most, especially those balancing care work, employment, and household responsibilities.
Through this focus group, we aim to better understand:
- How women and men navigate the care economy and distribute work within their households;
- Access, affordability, safety, and quality of public transportation—and how it can be improved;
- What alternative solutions (like biking or car sharing) might be preferable and sustainable;
- And what good practices from elsewhere could be adapted in your own community.
Your insights will directly inform future initiatives to make transport systems more gender-responsive, inclusive, and sustainable. The discussions will build on a recent public survey and help shape concrete recommendations.
Who We’re Looking for:
- Women and men of all ages (especially caregivers)
- Public transport users
- Residents of both urban and rural communities
What to Expect:
- A respectful, open, and moderated conversation (1 hour)
- Space to share your lived experiences
- No prior knowledge needed—just your perspective!
- Light refreshments and a small thank-you voucher will be provided
