Public Diplomacy Communication Campaign Concept Note 2026
Participants are invited to create an original Instagram reel responding to the campaign theme and publish it on their personal Instagram account during the competition period. The competition is designed to reward creativity, authenticity and thoughtful reflection rather than professional production quality.
The competition runs from 15 September to 15 October 2026 and invites young people to share their perspectives on European values, democracy, human rights and the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Participants are encouraged to discuss what they would like to see change and how they envision BiH’s future.
The three highest-ranked participants will be invited to a “Hygge Dialogue” with the Danish Ambassador, where they can discuss democracy, youth engagement and Danish society, meet Embassy representatives and network with others. They will also have the opportunity to learn about Danish institutions, democratic society and the EU’s role in Denmark.
The three winners will receive equal prizes. During the event, participants will also be expected to create short videos that may be reposted on the Embassy’s Instagram.
How to Participate
Young people aged 18–25 living in Bosnia and Herzegovina can participate by creating an original 30–60 second Instagram Reel about democracy, European values, human rights or their vision for the future of BiH.
Participants should:
- follow the Danish Embassy’s Instagram account;
- post the Reel on a public profile during the competition period;
- tag the Embassy and use the official campaign hashtag(s).
Videos can use any creative format, including storytelling, personal reflections, interviews, animation or spoken word. Professional equipment is not required — creativity, authenticity and the message are more important than production quality.
