Sustainable ImPact 3

Sustainable ImPACT 3 is a training course in Czechia equipping youth workers with vital sustainability competencies. Focused on urban challenges, it provides practical and digital tools to teach sustainability, run events, and inspire local youth.

Sustainable ImPACT 3

Welcome to the 3rd edition of Sustainable ImPACT. While the EU has strengthened its focus on sustainability and the circular economy, overproduction and excessive waste remain persistent challenges, particularly in urban environments. To drive lasting change and support the EU Green Deal, we need to equip the younger generation with the right skills and mindset. This is where youth workers play an irreplaceable role.

Who is this for? This training course is designed specifically for professionals and volunteers active in non-formal learning and youth work (youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, facilitators, and NGO staff). If you work directly with young people and want to integrate environmental awareness into your daily youth work practices, this training is for you.

Taking place in Czechia, this training course focuses exclusively on urban sustainability challenges (such as waste management, fast fashion, infrastructure, and the impact of urban lifestyles). The activities are built upon the European Sustainability Competence Framework and Environmental “Onion” methodology used in Czech Environmental Education, ensuring a comprehensive and structured approach to green education.

Through an interactive program, we aim to equip youth workers with crucial sustainability competencies.

Participants will:

  • Understand current urban sustainability challenges and the impact of European environmental policies.
  • Learn how to advocate for sustainable consumption and green habits within their local communities.
  • Adopt practical methods and apply digital tools specifically tailored for environmental education.
  • Train to design, run, and evaluate their own sustainability activities and impactful promotional campaigns.
  • Connect with fellow youth workers across Europe to share best practices and strengthen cross-border partnerships.

The course is built entirely on the principles of non-formal education. You can expect a dynamic learning environment featuring group work, practical workshops, experiential learning, peer-to-peer sharing, and testing digital tools. Be prepared for an intensive, interactive, and highly participatory experience.
