Training course: SMS – Stop. Motion. Speak.
Training Course 23 February – 2 March 2026 | Dom Sokolik, Trzcińsko, Poland
Aim: to explore DIY stop-motion animation as a form of expression that gives space to talk about important issues and fosters deep team connection
This project uses stop-motion animation as a simple and nostalgic creative technique that can be done anywhere using only basic tools. Its low-tech character makes it especially suitable for working with young people and encourages creativity in groups.
Stop-motion is created slowly, frame by frame. This process helps young people communicate, cooperate, and build stronger connections within the group.
The best way to learn this technique is to see its benefits – is by doing it yourself =)
Throughout the project, participants will learn through practice, with clear step-by-step guidance and regular reflection on what is happening during the creative process.
The project includes ice-breaker activities, group integration, and basic storytelling exercises. Participants will work in mixed teams to create their own stop-motion animations from scratch, based on stories they develop together.
The project explores how stop-motion animation can be used in education, youth work, and creative projects with young people, and how creative work happens in a team — how it can be facilitated, supported, and strengthened
